Hi! Stoned Out West is a team effort made up of my husband, myself, and our furry son!

My name is Valerie and I've been interested in jewelry and crafting for as long as I can remember. I took a metalsmithing 1 class at the University of Utah, and I've been hooked ever since! I've put together a small studio space which has become one of my favorite places to be in the evenings after work - it's been so fun to create custom rings for friends and family!  My husband and I have enjoyed rockhounding around Utah for years, and have collected many buckets of agate and other local rocks - and now we have the equipment to start slabbing and cabbing some of those materials. The cabochons listed on this site are all handmade by Jim.
